Tybee Island- Marjorie "Margie" DeWitt Hager Boyd, 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Hospice Savannah.

Born September 11, 1915 to Millard Fillmore DeWitt and Leonie Mae Tullis DeWitt, she was raised in Effingham and Chatham Counties and attended Chatham County schools. She was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church. Mrs. Boyd worked for many years in the beauty and fashion industries. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Marvin DeWitt; two sisters, Dorothy DeWitt Williams Lucree, Ivy DeWitt Fort and her son, William Carlton Hager, III Little Billy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Arte Anderson of Tybee Island; two granddaughters and their husbands, Donna and Todd Smith of Tybee Island and Melissa and Steven Stettler of Savannah; four great grandchildren, Jeremy Stettler, Jimmy Stettler, Kenny Stettler and Bailey Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2009 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors with Reverend Andy Lamon of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating.

Pallbearers: Todd Smith, Steven Stettler, Jeremy Stettler, Jimmy Stettler, Kenny Stettler and Jim Stettler.

Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care she received from the staff of Oceanside Nursing Home, Candler Hospital and Hospice Savannah.
